Doulas use very natural comfort measures to help birthing Moms through labour and transition and finally birth. A doula’s focus is entirely for the benefit of Mom and Baby. With a doula’s constant support, gentle manner and sharp observation, she can coach Mom through many different non- invasive techniques that help Mom birth her baby naturally and peacefully. A doula is always sensitive to Mom’s wishes and she can be Mom’s voice when Mom cannot express her needs and desires. Even when certain events prevent the birth from going as planned, a doula is there for Mom through any intervention even a caesarean birth.
